Just kidding. I love the holidays. However, I would be lying if I said I had self control during them.
Thanksgiving is the holiday that always kicks off the holiday season. It's the first "holy crap I ate too much" holiday closely followed by Hanukkah, Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Years Eve. Then finally....we have a looooooong break from these types of holidays. Don't get me wrong...I LOVE the holiday season, mostly because of CHRISTMAS! And the funny thing...I am supposed to be celebrating Hanukkah...but I love me some Christmas. Anyways....This Thanksgiving I can honeslty say that I did not go overboard. I ate alot yes, but I did not reach that point as to where I wanted to shoot myself in the face. I had one plate of food and that was it. Now...desserts on the other hand. My family makes some good desserts including pecan pie AND chocolate pecan pie. So of course I ate those. But I am happy to say that I don't think I caused a lot of damage this weekend.
I made sure to workout whenever I could while I was staying at my parents house in Delaware. I went down Wednesday night and didn't leave until Sunday night. I managed to get a few great workouts in.
Yes, that is Richard Simmons. The original Zumba. I love him. |
Best friend workout! I was able to run .5 mile without stopping. Getting there... |
That is why I decided to skip my ww weigh in tonight. Terrible decision this early on, but I wouldn't be able to handle a gain. I am going to go to the gym tonight instead and work my ass off all week and hope for a good number next week! That is the plan!!
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!!
Glad you're working hard- but be careful! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I am always surprised on the weeks that I expect a gain I don't always get it...then the scale can wallop me when I'm least expecting. darn scale. Go to your meeting! :P
