The pic on the left is from 2007 when I studied abroad in Italy my senior year of college. It was a time in my life where I may have been my biggest. I'm still not sure when I weighed more...2007 vs 2012, but I'm sure it was close and both 300lbs+. Yikes. So anyways...I HATED that purple coat! It made me look like a big purple grape and I hated wearing it but it was like the only winter coat I could find so whatever. It was raining one day last week and I needed an umbrella but didn't have one so I grabbed this coat. I'm glad I did because it was just another little reminder of how far I have come. It was huge on me and I just had to do a comparison pic! :)
Now on to my week:
I had a crap week at the gym, I found it very challenging to lose myself in the workouts and give it my all. I'm not sure why but I just was not feeling any of the things I was doing this week! Each day I would dread going to the gym and when I got there I had a negative attitude of "wahh I don't want to be here." That is AWFUL. I don't ever want to have that mentality and I can honestly say I had it all week! I'm not sure what I can do about it other than switch up some things and maybe get into running again? I always loved doing that. I don't know...but I need a change in my routine for sure. Which makes me kinda sad because I love the people I see at these classes!
Ok so on to my workouts for the week:
Monday Zumba Awful |
Monday was zumba and it was terrible. The zumba instructor had no energy and that doesn't help any workout situation. I didn't want to be there and mentally I was just not into it. You can tell because I only burned 400 calories. And everyone knows my goal of not leaving the gym until I reached 500, and I didn't even reach that goal! I went home and I didn't care. Not the right mentality I need on this journey!!
Tuesday's Workout Body Works Plus Abs |
I wish I could say that Tuesday was better. I mean...it was if you look at the calroies burned. However, mentally it was pretty much the same. I usually love this class but this week I was not feeling it. I did not put my best effort into it and a lot of times I felt myself "half assing" every workout. That is not me. I don't know what was going on. At least I made my gym calorie goal...
Wednesday Zumba |
The only reason why Wednesday zumba was my best workout day was because it was taught by my trainer Trish. I love her! She makes EVERYTHING exciting and fun. She has so much energy and it is addicting. Love it! I had a lot of fun.
So ummm yeah. Those are my workouts for the week. Yup...only 3. Major fail. So this week is not over yet but I can certainly sum it up as one of the worst I have had in awhile weightloss journey wise. The only thing left to do is use this as motivation for next week!!
